In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, which range from savannah to wetlands. Expect to see elephants, lions, buffalo, and various antelope species. Return to Kyambura Game Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for spotting lions and large herds of Uganda kob. Return to Kyambura Game Lodge for lunch, followed by a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This waterway is renowned for its high concentration of hippos, as well as elephants and buffaloes on the shores. Birdwatchers will also be delighted by the abundance of bird species. After a briefing by the park rangers, you’ll set off into the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. This challenging hike can take several hours, but the reward of observing these majestic creatures up close is incomparable. Return to Bwindi Lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some rest. In the evening, enjoy a cultural visit to a nearby Batwa community or simply relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Lodge.
