After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once you arrive, you’ll descend some 600 meters to the crater floor. Enjoy a packed lunch near a hippo pool, all the while observing animals in their natural habitat.
Overnight Stay
An early breakfast sets the pace for a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. En route, you can opt to stop at Olduvai Gorge for a brief exploration of human prehistory (entrance fee applies).
Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy a game drive across its endless plains, where lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and large herds of antelope graze and hunt.
Overnight Stay
Today begins with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti if time permits. Afterwards, you’ll travel to Lake Manyara, famed for its tree-climbing lions and distinctive pink flamingos (depending on season and water levels).
A short game drive introduces you to the park’s dense forest, teeming with baboons and other primates. In the afternoon, depart for Arusha, arriving by late afternoon or early evening. Depending on your onward plans, you will either be dropped off at your Arusha hotel or transferred directly to the airport for your flight home or onward destination.
