Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, recovering from your journey and preparing for the exciting days ahead. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a briefing from your guide, who will offer insights into the parks you will be visiting and answer any questions you may have.
After breakfast, depart from Arusha for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its striking baobab trees and large elephant populations. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on your first game drive, exploring the park’s diverse habitats where lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffalos roam. Keep an eye out for leopards dozing in the trees and the ever-fascinating birdlife. By late afternoon, you will head to your lodge or tented camp situated near or inside the park, where you’ll dine and spend the night surrounded by nature’s sounds.
After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once you arrive, you’ll descend some 600 meters to the crater floor. Here, you’ll be greeted by a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, large lion prides, and grazing herds of wildebeest and zebras. Enjoy a packed lunch near a hippo pool, all the while observing animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and transfer to a nearby lodge for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.
An early breakfast sets the pace for a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. En route, you can opt to stop at Olduvai Gorge for a brief exploration of human prehistory (entrance fee applies). Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy a game drive across its endless plains, where lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and large herds of antelope graze and hunt. By late afternoon, you’ll reach your lodge or tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti, where you’ll settle in for dinner and overnight under Africa’s starlit skies.
Today begins with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti if time permits. Afterwards, you’ll travel to Lake Manyara, famed for its tree-climbing lions and distinctive pink flamingos (depending on season and water levels). A short game drive introduces you to the park’s dense forest, teeming with baboons and other primates. In the afternoon, depart for Arusha, arriving by late afternoon or early evening. Depending on your onward plans, you will either be dropped off at your Arusha hotel or transferred directly to the airport for your flight home or onward destination.
