Sarova Shaba Game Lodge 4.5

Sarova Shaba Lodge is located in a natural oasis, in Shaba National Reserve, east of Samburu in Kenya. The 85 woody rooms all have terraces and all rooms and the restaurant and bar overlook the Ewaso Nyiro River. Bush, Boma and Riverbed dining are available before or after game drives and the lodge safari vehicles are available with excellent guides.

Overview

Shaba National Reserve has a particular place in the history of Kenyan wildlife preservation, as it was home to conservationists Joy and George Adamson for many years. Joy was the renowned author of the epic "Born Free" and "Living Free" and Sir Richard Harris stayed at our lodge for weeks whilst filming the Adamsons story in "To Walk with Lions"

Sarova Shaba Game Lodge offers a conference facility that can accommodate approximately 40 delegates deep in the African bush. The Doum Room named after a palm tree specific to the area is designed with open French windows overlooking a fishpond and tranquil gardens Audio-visual equipment and secretarial assistance is available.

The Park The breakfast includes live cooking against the backdrop of the Ewaso Nyiro River and Shaba game park.

A spectacular experience between sandbanks and the rocks of the riverbed as the sun begins to set and Drinks and cocktails are served at this site offering stunning views of the sunset over the meandering river and the wilderness.
