Tours Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local craft shops. Dinner and overnight in Kigali.
Day 2 : Kigali to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, drive to Akagera National Park. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3 : Full Day in Akagera
Start the day with an early morning game drive to see predators and other wildlife. After lunch, take a boat safari on Lake Ihema to spot hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 : Akagera to Volcanoes National Park
Depart Akagera and travel to Volcanoes National Park, with a scenic journey through Rwanda’s rolling hills. Check into your lodge and relax. Dinner and overnight near the park.
Day 5 : Gorilla Trekking Experience
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Embark on a guided trek to find one of the habituated gorilla families. Spend an hour observing these incredible primates in their natural environment. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 : Golden Monkey Trekking and Cultural Visit
Enjoy a morning trek to see golden monkeys in the forest. In the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan traditions and heritage. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 7 : Return to Kigali and Departure
Drive back to Kigali, with optional stops at local markets or historical sites. Have lunch in the city before transferring to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
