Upon landing at either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Arusha hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest, explore the town at leisure, and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening, a safari briefing will clarify the route, timings, and what to expect during your trip.
After breakfast, set out on a picturesque drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. Once inside the park, you’ll discover a vibrant ecosystem fed by underground springs. Keep watch for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and flocks of pink flamingos along the lake’s shoreline. By late afternoon, you’ll head to your lodge or tented camp in or near Lake Manyara for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today, journey northward to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands of Ngorongoro. You may opt to visit Olduvai Gorge en route, where pivotal discoveries about early humans were made. Entering the Serengeti, you’ll go on an afternoon game drive in search of large predators and vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and other plains animals. Tonight, relax in the comforting atmosphere of your lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti.
An early morning game drive offers the best chance of encountering big cats on the hunt before the day warms up. Afterward, enjoy breakfast and begin your drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim or in the highlands by late afternoon, where you’ll settle in for dinner and a restful night, anticipating the crater tour the following day.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in the morning, an experience often described as a wildlife wonder of the world. Spend several hours driving across the crater floor, spotting black rhino, lions, hyenas, and numerous grazers. After a picnic lunch, ascend and travel to Tarangire National Park. Settle into your lodge or camp inside or near Tarangire, where you’ll enjoy dinner under the African sky.
Begin the day with an early game drive in Tarangire, famous for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and prolific birdlife. After a few hours of wildlife viewing, head back to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon, where you may opt to stay overnight in town or continue to the airport for your departing flight.
